TRADE: Big Front caliper brakes for standard size ones (off 2005 c230 sedan).
This is for north cal / central valley / bay area folks. I'm from Stockton, 95212.
Anyone want to trade me your standard size front brakes for my big caliper ones? It's a bit unorthodox, but it's okay with me.
They are off my 2005 C230 Sport Sedan. Main reason is there's a specific rim I want and it will not clear the front calipers. I been to many shops and did many test fittings and each one is no good, even with spacers. LM replicas 18's for those who are curious. I've seen many w203 with them but I think they have the normal front so it clears. Anyways, I'm not a mechanic so I'll need either you or someone you know to help do the switch for us.
My brakes still have a lot of meat on them so I would hope yours are the same. let me know, PM me or email, thanks.

Thanks for the reply! Do you know how people are installing it with the big front brakes? I've seen it before too and scratch my head at it. Can't get any real details on it. Ideal situation is no trade of course, this is pretty much last resort. Let me know if you can poiint me in the right direction. Thanks.

i know there are a few companies that make the rep wheel, so might have to look for the right one.

yeah, that's the hard part, figuring out the right one. I'm sure each requires modification to get it to fit, that's the key I'm trying to find out, like what is needed to get it to fit. be great if it was simple bolt on. I took your advice and posted it to the more specific Wheel forum. Hopefully someone there can help. Didn't want to post up too many threads. If it gets no traction, I'll try the W203 next. Thanks.

I pre-ordered a set of the replica LMs from one of the sponsors on here. He said that it is guaranteed fitment over the big brakes. It should come in a few weeks, we'll see at that time.
