Run Flat Tires Worth Replacing?
NooB so go easy. SoCal area, 1st time MB owner C350e, 1st time having run flats. Car is new, less then 2000 miles. I didn't get the tire package but got pre-paid 50k maintenance. 1 rear tire run flat, has a slow leak, only had less then 2000 miles... 245/40R18 974
Looking for the least expensive/smartest option.
1 - Do they come with any regular warranty?
If it was a manufacturer's defect, then yes, read all the fine print.
2 - Do I need to stick with run flats for now?
Was told to have run flats or regular tires on all four and not to mix them.
3 - Is it worth getting it replaced at the dealer?
This dealership was the same price as 2 different discount tire places and only $25 more then Costco.

The dealership provided an replacement!!! Very happy MB owner.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not sure if the dealer will cover it, but it won't hurt to call them. I think the most cost effective thing to do would be to go to an independent tire shop and have them inspect the tire to see why it went flat. Prices for replacements should be cheaper than at the dealer too.
Personally i'm not a fan of run flats. If you were to replace your run flats with something else, you'd have to replace 4 tires for a set of ultra high performance, eco tire, etc.
