Bay Area or Souther CA dealership?
Bay Area or Souther CA dealership?
Hi all,
I'm looking to ordering an GLC 43 SUV as none of the MB dealerships seem to have the configuration I'm looking for (key: Cardinal Red color, Multimedia, Parking Assistance, and Driver Assistance Package). I'm currently driving a Japanese car and don't a relationship with an MB dealership or sales person. I'd prefer a Bay Area dealership but am also ok buying from one in Southern California.
I'd appreciate any recommendations and contact info. Plus any advice!
Thanks in advance.

You can pretty much just contact any dealership. I always start with emailing several dealerships around me and see who comes back with the best offer. This way you usually get to the Internet sales managers, which are more pleasant to deal with and less BS. I ordered from MB of Walnut Creek. I believe they are the largest MB dealer in the Bay Area. I first started talking to MB of Marin. I was working with Christian Roettgers, which was pleasant to work with. He is actually from Germany, so none of that American sales pitch BS. I ended up order from MB of Walnut Creek, because I was searching Autotrader for a C63S with the AMG Performance Seats to test drive, and MB of Marin didn't have one, but MB of Walnut Creek did. Their facilities were much nicer. MB of Marin is right off of 101, super noisy and dusty over there. We couldn't even carry a conversation in their lot. I worked with Trey Onkst at Walnut Creek. He got the job done, and was willing to learn about European Delivery as he had never done one before. I ended up working mostly with one of their sales managers and MBUSA directly, though.

Thanks for the leads in WC and Marin. I sent Trey Onkst an email to get the ball rolling and plan to do the same with a few other dealerships.
As I mentioned in my post, I'm also open to a dealership in SoCal as it seems that the car dealerships there seem to be more willing to negotiate due to the Bay Area tech market.

Sacramento area has three M-B dealerships within 25 miles of one another - all owned by same corp. I used the El Dorado Hills location for a C250 a few years back. Great company. I could go on and on. Financing, service are examples.

Just a quick follow up to say that I ended up going with Autobahn. MB of Pleasanto was a close second was, and I also had an ok (not great) deal from MB of Walnut Creek. At Autobahn I deal directly with the fleet manager, David Chao, who was a straight shooter and made the process as smooth and personal as I could've asked for. I only dealt with Michael Badillo at Pleasant via email but would've closed with him if Autobahn hadn't matched--he seemed very forthright and upfront. I was able to get 12% off the custom build 2021 GLC 300 along with a fleet discount I qualified for.
I was able to get a production slot with the exact build and will get the car in late November/early December.
PS. I was disappointed with FJ in Newport Beach as Rick Kilakas didn't respond to my second email. I guess he didn't think I was serious or worth his time.
