Five minutes' drive from MB Headquarters at Eglinton Avenue East. When you are going westbound on Eglinton near Leslie be on the lookout for speed cops with radar guns. Unless snowing they are always there taxing motorists for "speeding".

If you get lower the limit low enough everyone would be speeding, like 50 kph in town. If we go Imperial units the present speed limits in Toronto will be OK.

 

Dig your C63. Your AMG has a different hood from other C series and looks much like a muscle car. Cool.

The MB Canadian website has a wealth of information on used cars and prices differ quite a lot. Performance cars in St Catharines has the best price on low mileage cars. I wish I can afford its Iridium Silver 2008 S63 AMG at CD$118,000. Only 14,000 km! The S550 4 Matic is more practical for our weather and is better value.

Do you read Dan McTeaque's "gas prices for tomorrow"? Ottawa has the lowest price and it is typical - petroleum and other industries sucking up to the Federal bureaucrats. You are lucky. Toronto is always at the bottom for handouts even when Ontario now is officially a "have-not" province.

 

I must join too. However, being an old guy and not the most computer savvy I have to figure out how to do it.

I had a 1986 560 SEL and a 1999 E55 both very nice cars. However, MB cars are like all other makes and tend to get expensive when they are over 5 years old. AMGs are money pits for MB. The brakes are crazy prices. They do have a better quality feel then the Japanese makes like Lexus. I do not know why but the Japanese brands still feel "tinny" including the LS 460L.

The Japanese makes are also inferior in performance. The GS460 has only 350 horses and the Ford Mustangs and Camaros can blow them away. Apart from the tiny IS V8 there is nothing to match AMG.

Ford is good with its Shelby GT500, 540 bhp and 6 on the floor. I hope Oshawa's Camaro Z28 with 556 bhp will become reality. These mega-horse machines will not last forever with Obamama and Obadaddas of this world out to kill all muscle machines and replace them with battery cars.
