Used car warranty in Canada?

Hello ... I purchased a used Mercedes that has warranty time and mileage available ... can this original warrany be transferred to me? How?
Thanks,
gd
Also, the original owner had an extended warranty, but I don't think MB Canada will allow me to transfer it.
My car was not purchased at a MB dealer.

The manufacturer's warranty goes with the vehicle, not the owner. If the original MB warranty is still valid, then yes, it has been transferred to you already.

If the extended warrantly was a MB warranty (as opposed to some third-party stuff) that it too can be transferred to you although there may be a nominal administrative fee. Even if it isn't, for as long as the vehicle is still under the MB warranty, you (the new owner) should be able to purchase an extended warrantly after it is inspected by MB.
