Seeking help with 2012 E350-4matic purchase
Hello all - I've recently moved to the GTA from Dallas and am looking to add to the stable. Eyes set on E350-4matic as the car.
Today, I did a back to back comparison between a 2011 and 2012 and now there is no doubt that 2012 is it. Finding large discrepancy in asking prices. Autotrader.ca has 2012 4matics, ~60K KMs for around $35-37K; the dealers start around $45K for roughly the same car but CPO'd. For the E350 4matic I drove today, dealer (Mississauga Benz) is asking $47K with 'some room to come down in price' but I didn't push it today to find what that would be just yet. Car is CPO'd with bumper-to-bumper warranty through Oct. 2015 and powertrain through Oct. 2017. For an additional $2.3K, I can ensure bumper-to-bumper coverage through Oct. 2017. Car has about 55K KMs, pano roof, navigation, rear camera. No leather interior, no AMG wheels.
3 questions for the knowledgeable good folks on this board:
1. What would you think would be a fair offer to the dealer?
2. Worth upgrading to bumper-to-bumper for $2.3K for 2 years?
3. Finally, is there someone on this board who has dealt with the Benz dealers before and would be willing to help me negotiate?
