When does my extended warranty start? Have balance of factory warranty remaining

Hi, I purchased a CPO Benz with 77,000km. There is 10 months or 3,000km warranty left. I also purchased the extended limited warranty.

at what point does my extended warranty start? The day I take possession? Or when my factory warranty ends? How does MB know when I reached 80k?

thanks in advance.

go fast grocery getter wagon
in your case, once it hits 80,001km, then your extended warranty kicks in.

I thought CPO had unlimited mileage?
CPO adds a year to original warranty and unlimited mileage.

Did you buy more of the CPO warranty or something else?

MB knows when you drive in for service if over their limit no warranty.

All these extra warranty start when original is done.

But how do they know when I hit 80,000?

I heard the warranty starts the first service after 80,000km if before the 4 yr mark.

Key read when you go in, or by looking at your odometer.

No, until you hit your 80K or 4yr mark initial warranty covers it. I am pretty sure that is not tied to the original owner, rather the car itself.

CPO however does not have unlimited mileage to my knowledge... didn't you pick a term/mileage combo when you purchased yours? e.g. 2yr/60k or 2yr/80k?
