New to Mercs
New to Mercedes and new to the forums! I am currently driving a big ol Dodge Ram and need to get something smaller for the city. I’ve had my eye on the C43 since they have come out in 2017. Or 2016 if you count the c450. I am looking at a new 2019. I am curious what you guys have paid (in Canada) on the new 19’s whether it was factory order, ED, or on the lot already.
Thanks!

I would say typical discount to aim is around 5-6% off. right now, I believe there is a $1000 factory credit given by mb canada in Feb 2019, that is on top of your dealer side discount of 5-6%.

If I recall, most car companies do a spring sales event usually starting in March-April. Maybe I will wait to see if anything comes out then. It may be a bit of a stretch, but I am going to try for 10% off MSRP.

Mind you, AMG car which this C43 is fallen into this category will generally discount to around 6% at max and given this is a face-lifted MY2019, you are likely need to shop around in all your local dealership to see who is willing to give you the most discount.

Typically, the dealer margin on the car is around 11%. The real AMG "63" car has a slightly higher dealer margin, I believe to be around 13%

brand new ... almost 13% off ... I am sure there is another couple of % to be had too, if dealer is smart enough to get rid of it.

14% off MSRP.
there are still many 18 C43 out there.

If you are referring to the C63, the dealer margins are a little higher but there is still something off about that car. The amount of dust in the stitching on the seats, small marks/nicks on the front emblem on the grille (the Distornic radar) and the 33C temperature reading in the cluster are a dead giveaway that it's not a new car. You don't think dealerships make the occasional mistake in their ads or possibly put an intentional "misprint" to attract attention?

Some of us here have bought numerous new MB vehicles and have friends and/or family working at various dealerships. Rather than arguing for the sake of arguing, why don't you call the dealership, ask them about the car and see what they tell you?

Been looking to get a CPO C300. Dealerships wont have any older than 2016s. 2016s do come with bit of warranties and extended warranties but obviously they come with higher prices and higher kilometers.
I tried to look for some non MB dealers selling for tad bit lesser price tags but was not overly confident of what am i getting into.
A 2016 at MB dealers is about $34k.
1. I need suggestions if a 2016 buying from any MB dealership with bit of left over manufacturer's warranty and star certified extended warranty would be a good deal. (depreciation, service and warranty
ending imminently scare me off)
2. Alternatively, I may be in a position to pay cash for a slightly older model but I havent got a scooby do where to look at for an older model. obviously too scared of all the horror stories that i have read
about non MB dealers or Kijiji etc.
honestly do not want to end up in a bloody Toyota or a Honda. have driven C300 a bit albeit older and love it. now really hoping to get one for myself and not get ripped off or make a desperate bad financial decision. Any non MB dealers one could recommend in GTA?
any suggestions would be highly appreciated. thanks

thanks a lot for the reply. More inclined toward MB too. any experience with the extended star certified warranty they offer with the CPO cars? thats another 2 years and 40,000 kilometers on the standard 4y/80k. the ones i have looked at are driven between 40-60k kilometers.
moreover, is there a difference between the corporate MB dealers and franchises?
I have seen quite a lot car fax reports which say vehicle was commercially used or was a fleet car? if it is still under warranty is that a safe bet. I am asking that cause such cars are cheaper comparing to a personal one.
any thoughts? thanks again.

If you are shopping for a cpo's, it really does not matter much as they all have very similar markup and they priced a similar equipped car to be the same, no matter if it's at franchise owned or corporate owned.
If the dealer can let you see the service history of the car and if it shows the car has very little issues, then it is worth considering. Do avoid the ones that have many, many service trips to dealers as it may indicate there are some problems with the car, even down the road. As for fleet or commercially owned cars, have a check on the appearance of the car, inside & outside to see what kind of wear it has over the years and if you can see dents, scratches, cracks, etc., then you should avoid. Same goes for a ex-service loaner vehicle too.
