Mercedes genuine dashcam not approved in Canada?

Mercedes genuine dashcam not approved in Canada?
Hi everyone,

Just been told Mercedes genuine dashcams are not approved in Canada other than SUV models, that means u can't buy any wagon, sedan, coupe with any Mercedes genuine dashcams installed.

Is it true? If yes when did it begin? Seems some old models still have genuine dashcams.

I wasn't able to order one with my CLA 45. Dealer tech and sale told me it sucks and a lot of problems in the services department. I trust the tech because he's my high school buddy.
