No way. It's closer to a bookend or paperweight than a car. You don't know what you're getting into. Look like suspension, interior, body problem and more. Parts are way to expensive to put one back together especially when you can get a CPO CL that's clean with lower miles in the in the $50s and everything will work.

I agree. This is not the type of car you want to be doing this with... parts are very expensive, there is a lot that can break and go wrong... and some things may be totally beyond the capabilities of anyone other than an MB tech. This is a HUGE risk.

I thought it would make a fun summer project....Mayby go all out and build a beast.

Again, still less expensive to by an early CL in the $50k range and modify it. The car aso needs to be painted. I had a scratch fixed on my CL and it cost $900 to fixed. Buyer beware. I'd offer $5k and that's generous unless you're an MB tech with a friend in the parts department.

that's a crime-- how anyone can spend 90k+ on a car and treat it like that is beyond me
