Trag, not sure if that was directed at me or fatmike (his car is really well detailed).
Here's a tutorial (not mine, but it's very well written) on how I shoot the HDR shots.
http://garmahis.com/tutorials/hdr-tu...free-software/
I used Meguiars Cleaner Wax with a random orbital car buffer (you can find both at Walmart in the auto section) to get out a lot of the swirl marks and water marks from the previous owner. Generally the way your paint looks isn't so much from the wax you put on, as it is from having the paint clean and swirl free. Once the paint is in good shape, I use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax.
To overhaul the car's paint:
Wash with dish soap to remove old wax
Wash with vinegar (if you have water spots)
Clay bar (if you have orange "rail dust" in the paint, or if it doesn't feel smooth)
Meguiars Cleaner or Cleaner Wax (if you have swirls)
Meguiars NXT wax
Maintenance:
Wash with car soap (not dish soap, it will strip wax)
Wax with NXT (not every wash, but a few times a year)

I have 20" on my 2005/Cl600 (245/30 front 285/35 back, PS2) and there is tire noise and a less smooth ride for sure. It will be different compared to 18", the type of tire may matter also.
