Battery Maintainer/Charger Recommendations?

Battery Maintainer/Charger Recommendations?
If you have mroe than one car or leaving the car for the winter, what do you do with the battery? Disconncect it? Or if you use a charger/maintainer, any particular one you guys recommend?

You would want to use a slow type 'trickle' charger. This will keep your battery topped up and maintained.
I personally would pull the battery out of the vehicle as well.

Mercedes sell one in Europe - basically you wire in an extra socket near the battery (thats smaller than a cigarette lighter socket) and then you plug in the trickle charger/maintainer thing into it.
I presume its available in USA, although maybee they dont do a 110volt version
