I was looking at 1999 CL500 prices and found many in the mid-high $30Ks. Why are the prices so low (relative to their original selling prices)? Are there alot of problems? repairs?

Is there somethings in particular I should lookout for with these models?

cuz 1999 CL's are ugly as hell...hehe j/k, i dunno why, probably because that was end of the old body CL's and in 2000 the New CL's just blew the old body CL's away. I mean the difference between 1999 and 2000 CL's are like day and night. Original MSRP of 1999 CL500's were about $92,000. I think the 1999 CL's and S classes, C classes were the end of the Mercedes' retangular blocky type cars. Everything now looks smooth, round, and fluid.

Have any of you ever driven the old CL? In some review in 1998 or 1999 the car was said to be a great automobile. I don't even really know how it looks inside.
