Pics of my CL
Hello all. I just recently purchased a 2000 CL 500 and had a few modifications done to it. Notably I upgraded the taillights, added a Brabus front spoiler, rear valance, four pipe exhaust system, 19" chrome Monoblock V's, and a Wald side skirt. I've had second thoughts on the wheels, so I may end up slapping on some Zauber Gettin's or something like that if I can find any for sale. The windows still need some tint, and I'd love to lower it, but I think I've shot my wad for now...
Let me know what you think!

The car looks great, believe it or not I like the ride height the way it is, it is not too bad.

The car actually has a light tint on it now and it has definitely affected the AM radio reception. But... the upside is I've gotten used to listening to FM and my Ipod, so the new tint won't bother me much.

Even though I live in Florida and would prefer to have my windows tinted, I choose not to do so because I periodically listen to AM talk shows. I wonder if anyone has tint with no reception problems.

Very nice and clean mod. Black seems to be more luxurious looking than Silver. I went opposite from what you did. Had Wald front end and Carlson rear spoiler. Lowering would make the car looks awesome. Can't wait to get my damn ride back from that accident.

My car was identical to yours, color, kit, rims before the makeover. I just never liked those Brabus Monoblocks. I don't know what alloy they use, but they damage so easy.

Car looks good Brennan. Just get a mechanical lowering kit for $450 and lower it an inch. You don't have to go electronic. And I don't recommend you do more than 1.5" MAX. I am not a fan of chrome, but I think the wheels look OK. Overall the CL looks very nice..

Apdesign - Your car actually got me to looking at the WALD kits, it's a nice looking ride.
AMG - Do you have more information or a thread I can look at to learn more about the $450 lowering option? It sounds like a heck of a deal. Does it render the electronic lowering inoperable or anything?

Brennan,
I lowered my car at Sprewell in San Gabriel, CA (626) 309-1771 for $500. It uses the ABC to lower and raise the car when ever you want to. I had no problem with it. They did a very good job...I will go back to them when my car is fix. Let me know if you have any question. Again nice ride bro. I just ordered the M3 style spoiler...looks nice on your car.
