I just bought a 2001 CL 600 and I was wondering what the best way is to go about doing the tail light upgrades and if anyone has some info they can give me on upgrading the car as far as horsepower, torque, etc... Maybe a good web site or good shop that works with Mercedes.

Its not hard to do it yourself. Just need a torx
driver. Dont remember what size.

Look around in search. I remember detailed instructions somewhere
in the CL area. Just no drop screws in trunk.

It looks way better than the originals. Much brighter.
Car looks the same as a 2005 now. All for $ 350.00 and an hours time.

i got a set of used tail lights from salvage yards for less than $200 shipped and they were nearly new. cheap mod for the price. the headlights are harder to find and way more expansive for obvious reasons. as far as performance mods, i looked and found nothing worth the money. my is a 01 as well, if you want more power for reasonable price, sell it and get a 03cl600 then add a renntec upgrade- you will get more than 600hp i think for only $6400.
