2002 cl500 with 125k miles

Any problems that I should look out for with those high miles?
I know the ABC pump fails in the earlier models, so I hope thats good to go with this car since it's 02 and plus with the mileage I'm sure if it did have the problem it was fixed.
Anything I should look out for in general? I'm not too big on MB issues, much more of a bimmer guy

don't buy it. you should be able to pick up a 02 cl500 with 25k miles for $30k(if not now, very soon). why risk it? oh, don't forget the extended warranty.

I agree to stay away from this car (at practically any price) if you plan on keeping it a while. I don't know about buying one with 25k miles for $30k, though, as that price is less than wholesale presently. But I'm sure you can find a good deal on one and for sure, pick up a warranty. These are very expensive cars to maintain and trust me, a lot more than the ABC pump can go bad.

really? I would just assume everything that probably would go bad in a merecedes or even a BMW would be in the initial 0-85k miles and its more or less smooth sailing from then on.(like the radiator in a BMW or the abc pump in a benz @ around 50k)

so what else could really go wrong? I've heard benz's have a lot of maintance problems compared to their bmw counterpart which I haven't really experienced anything majorly wrong with.

125 K Miles on a CL ??

Thats a ton of miles for a 2002.
Somebody was driving it hard to get that far so fast.
Usually that is a sign of neglect. I would avoid that car.

Lots of good single owner with warranty/extended
available. Shop around. Take some time.
Find one coming of lease.

My 2000 CL has 53K with extended good till 75K
or 2009. I would let her go for about $ 35K.

As long as you have deep pockets for repairs and that $2,000+ plus repair bills don't concern you, then go ahead and get it. If there is one thing that most owners of these CL's agree on is to not own one without a warranty. If you think that nothing can go wrong with these cars, you could be in for a very rude awakening. FYI, these cars have more electronics than the original Apollo space crafts and are extremely expensive to have repaired. Good luck.
