Raced my 03 CL600 last night
What's up guys. I'm new to the forums. I just raced my 03 CL600 (stock) last night and ended up with 12.107 @ 117.27. I only raced twice the first time I got was 12.129 @ 118.01. At the time I raced I had my ESP off and suspension in sport mode. I didn't know at the time about dyno mode, I'll try that next time. What do you think about the times. Should it be slower faster? And what's the average trap speed for these? Thanks in advance for any comments.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't chipped. I'll try to take it to the dyno just to make sure. What's the average 1/4 mile time for CL600 and the CL65? Also I think it can go faster than 12.1 but it was the first time with the car at the track and only 2 runs. But thanks, I am having a lot of fun with it.

In the Oct 2005 issue of Motor Trend, MT compared the same 4 cars except they replaced the CL600 with the CL65. They reported the CL65 as doing the quarter in 11.8 at 120.9mph. The funny thing is that Motor Trend rated the Bentley 1st, the Ferrari 2nd, the Aston 3rd, and the CL65 last. It seems Motor Trend is more interested in the image factor. I think if Car & Driver had the CL65, the Mercedes would have been rated 1st overall.
You must have run at sea level, at night with cool, dense air, with great traction

Oh by the way, the next time out, try it with ABC in comfort mode. In a straight-line acceleration, you want the shocks to be soft to get better weight transfer. You may launch even better ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
