Follow Up--Now What?

Hey there gang,

If you read my previous post, "Horror Story," I'm glad to let everyone know that I did get my car back yesterday. The reason why the car basically shut down was because of an idler pulley/belt. It connects with the ABC, suspension, steering, alternator, belt, and etc. They took care of my problem. But, guess what, now since yesterday the car has been shaking and idling occasionally. Should I wait a week and go back to tell them to do a more thorough job? Or, is this normal when you replace old belts? I'm thinking I'll wait a week. I don't mind spending the time and money to take care of this beautiful machine but I would expect close to perfect/flawless engineering on behalf of Mercedes-Benz/Daimler-Benz. A $120,000 vehicle should not be a pain in the a**! I thought you get what you pay for?!

02 CL600 Belt

That belt was 5 years old.
Guess it was time. Just like a light bulb.
Things wear out.

I have been keeping a close eye on the S/C belt on my SL55
My SA mentioned it was the weak link and should be replaced
about once a year. ABC belts need to be checked every 10K.

As far as vibration and a new belt.
Take it back in. Something is loose or not adjusted correctly.
Should not be a major issue.

The car has been shaking more often now; especially while I'm driving. What should I tell them to look at or will it show up on the diagnostic?
