I'm not exactly sure what you want but there is so much stuff out there for the I-POD.
Check with your local Mercedes dealer as they may offer a kit for your car. Another route would be to check with your local car radio / electronics installer. Everyone offers stuff for the I-POD.
The easiest thing to do is just get an FM modulator and plug into your I-Pod. Set it to a station on used on you FM dial and tune your car radio to the same frequency. Cheap and no install required.
Just did a quick google and found the following...

Good luck & Keep us posted.

Ipod adapter was MB option on some recent, pehaps '04 on, models. I was told by the dealer I could have one installed afterwards for around $400 (minus ipod). Now they tell me it's a factory and not a dealer option. So I got one of those FM adapters insteads. I'm not very pleased, there is a lot of interference especially when travelling. So will try try this direct attach option next.

Are you talking about your CL600? I have a 2003 and there was an audio jack in my glove box. Yours doesnt have one built in?

wait, what? i am not technologically inclined in any way (i don't even have an ipod), but does that mean i can just get an ipod and plug it into the audio jack in the glove box and use my comand to operate it just like an additional function. i too have a 2003 CL but i thought it was more involved than that with adapters and kits and such

The FM mod is very unreliable. Try the direct connect cable in your glove box. You can hide the cable under the center console. Sounds great, maybe add a little extra treble, or use the treble boost in the ipod itself.
