"performance" airfilter for bi-turbo CL600?

at the time there was nothing available not even the BMC's so I measured and found a set of K&N's that would fit the dimensions I needed. There extra seals from the old filter that will need to be used to make the box seal correctly. The K&N's are half the thickness of the stock filter so it volumizes the bottom of the box as well, I got 10rwhp

The BMC's are #486/20. You can purchase them from a BMC US distributor, The Competitive Edge at 805-237-8911 (the other distributors just do motorcycles or Porsches). I need to order mine. They quoted me $183 (two filters) plus shipping (about $15).

. They said it should take a few months to make them. I will have the first pair to test out. I live in Santa Barbara which is a few hours from K&N in Riverside CA. I will keep you posted.Andrew

Hello all. I haven't posted much on this forum. I go between the Corvette and this forum. Great news regarding the K&N filter dilema. Woody Carroll from K&N came to my house on February 25, at 4:00 PM and took pictures of my 03 V12 CL600. I brought it to their attention that the filter listed for my car does not fit. After taking pictures they purchased an air box and have started the R&D to make a filter for our cars . They said it should take a few months to make them. I will have the first pair to test out. I live in Santa Barbara which is a few hours from K&N in Riverside CA. I will keep you posted.

ummm +1 I did the same as well in march of 07 and gave up on them

I complained that the listing for the filter does not fit my car after purchasing two of them. They then said send us pictures. After that they offerred to come to my house and check it out. The rep (Woody), was really cool and he said that they need an airbox to test the filter. I thought for sure they would say no thanks. Woody e-mailed me back and said they have the airbox and will make and test a filter. I will keep all of you posted and get part numbers. I have two Corvettes with K&N filters and am very happy with the product.
