Ignition coils in CL600 (2001)

Ignition coils in CL600 (2001)
A month ago I needed both banks of coils replacing (engine warning light came on, misfire) - 6 hours labour and £600 UK per bank (14000 miles)
Last weekend light came on again and v. rough engine- MB dealer diagnosed same again!
What's going on? I will be reluctant to drive too far from home/dealer when i get the car back.
Useless customer care from dealer - never phone with progress reports. Both they and MB UK do not stock coils - have to order from Germany!
