Widest Wheels on W215 chassis?

I tried doing the search but could not find what I was looking for. I also posted the same question in the 55 forum.

Basically wanted to ask what is the widest wheel/tire combo you can go on a CL w/ AMG sport package. I'm interested in having the rear of the car look fat with the rear fatter tires

For example can you put 19x10.5 and go 295 rears? I would prefer to stay 245/255 in the fronts. Please post some of your setups too.

Also what is the widest tires you can go on AMG sport package wheels, can you push 285 rears? Thanks.

I have HREs in 20x9.5 ET15, and 20x11 ET28, another set in 20x9 ET20, 20x10.5 ET30, and lastly 20x9 ET18, 20x10 ET30 hope that helps.

oh the tires widest was 295/25/20 Michelin PS2 (rounded sidewalls), and I've tried 305/25/20 P-Zero Nero but can't lower the car all the way. 285/25/20 looks good on 10.5 overall, the 275 on 10" look slim from the back IMO.

check out my post w/ pictures to see the different angles

I think 10s in rear with 285s look best. You don't want the car to look gangster or do you?

2WT- Did you have to do any other modifications to make your setup fit perfectly?

Andrew- I'm not trying to go for the gangster look I'm planning to stay all stock (no lowering) all I wanted to achieve is atleast 295 rears to give it a nice stance.

not lowered, 305 on 10.5 offset atleast 30mm then you're OK

I tried 305's and they were sticking out about 1/2 inch from the fender and they were also hitting the hydraulic shock in the inside of the fender. The the suspension would not travel all the way with the 305's and it would have creased the fender if the suspension could travel all the way. I did run 295's with limited rubbing and 285's with no rubbing. I tried the Bridgestone RE050's.
