Considering a CL500 2000+
As the headliner says, I am looking to purchase a CL500,was considering a 2000 S500, But after all the stories about the problems that they have had I kinda veered away and decided that the CL500 seems to have less problems and looks a ton better than the S class. I recently sold my 740il, so I do know the pains of owning a German V8 car, so please, if there are any common issues or gripes please note them here, I wouldn't mind hearing some of the praises also. Just really looking for the major things to lookout for, like recalled units and such.
Are there any issues that the W220 share with these CL models?

Since the CL depreciates so much, you should try to get a good deal on a CL55 or CL600. If you spend some time looking, then you should be able to find a very nice one for $40k. You can probably find a 2003 CL55 or CL600 for under $50k.
