The Starmark warranty is the chief advantage of buying a Starmark car, which is what MBUSA calls their certified pre-owned program. In other words, you can't buy any car and then buy a Starmark warranty; you have to find a car that a dealer has, or will, declared a CPO.
The base warranty covers 5 years from original delivery or 100K miles. At the time of purchase, you can pay for one or two more years; therefore the longest coverage would be 7 years from original (new-car) delivery or 100K miles, whichever comes first. A 2003 could have been delivered in 2002, so even with the two year extension you could be paying for about two years of coverage.

oo i see, so pretty much i have to buy a certifed preowned model is this going to be hard to come across, and even if i do buy it i will only have a warranty untill 2009/2010 this would be a problem with these cars because their reliabilty is horrible... i guess im better off saving a lil more money and buying a 2006 cls500 for about 50 because ill have the factory warranty for antoher 2 years? would that sound better
