airmatic or ABC problems ... which is wackier?
I am curious on this as I know the beatiful CL has both systems in place standard.
The S class sedan can however be purchased with the airmatic suspension only.
Does this save a lot of headaches or is the airmatic causing most of the problems?

well, by that logic the S class with optional ABC and standard airmatic would be the most costly to maintain.
Any thoughts please on if a "stripped" S class 550 -4 door
would be more problematic than a CL550- 2 door s class of sorts.

arena3, i think you are confused on airmatic and ABC. If you have Airmatic, you don't have ABC. If you have ABC you don't have airmatic. With the S-class if you order the ABC option it REPLACES the standard airmatic, its not an add-on or additional upgrade to the airmatic, entirely different system.
