For diameter, we got confirmation that it was 55mm + 0.2mm for both CL500 and CL600 as they have the same part number. It's oem specs.

My CL600 has 3" dual exhaust. Did the earlier 600 have the smaller 500 exhaust? Those mufflers would be a big restriction in the exhaust flow on the twin-turbo 600. OEM size for a pre 2003 CL600?

This exhaust will fit Mercedes - CL (W215) - CL600 6.0l 270 kW, up from 00
I'm not great on MB history but I believe the V12 used in the CL600 went from a NA V12 to a TT V12 over the years, that may explain the difference in piping size. Obviously 55mm is way too small for a TT V12.
