Lorinser wheel problem HELP!!!

I just bought a set of Lorinser RS8 wheels (20x9 FR and 20x10R) for my 2003 CL500 Sport and they will not fit...sort of. I did a test fit without tires and they stick out WAY too far. They already have spacers(from CLS) so I am hoping I can take those off and they will be okay. The original Lorinser offset is 38 and they are 20's but the tech guy thinks without spacers they will rub. Shouldn't these fit my car? Any help would be great. FYI I have TSW's on my car right now and they are 20x8 Fr with 35 offset and 20x10R with offset 42 and they sit perfectly with no rub. I hate to ask a stupid question but how do I get the 38 offset to fit like these? Do I need a a spacer of 4mm to get to 42 or what?
