The insurance for a CL500 in the UAE costs about 10% of the car value.
Car value = $153,000
This is because i dont have any grey hair, dont walk with a stick , dont have kids running around me while talkign to teh salesman, a wife nagging me about how her mother is gogin to sqeeze in and beucase i didnt ask for it wiht a trailer hitch to pull the caravan for the weekend family picnic.
My insurance comany informs me that if i had three of the above i would only have to pay 5%

isn't everything...
no insurance fortunately isnt... i guess its cause the arabs drive their cars so badly the govenment used to get stuck buying them new cars with the banks funding it making it a lose - lose situation.. so the scape goats...err. the insurance comapny was formed... and the rest is history.
