I had my CL into a MB dealership a while back and they managed to chip the wood on my steering wheel. They called me advising of the problem and said they had a tech who would make it look like new. I told them that if I could see any trace of any damage that I'd want the wheel replaced to which they agreed. When I picked up the car, there was no sign what so ever of any damage. (I guess there's a possibility they may have replaced it.) Anyway, check with your dealer.

I have no idea. As I mentioned, they may have replaced the wheel. All I know is they said they had a specialist that handled such things. Give your dealer a call and see if they have such a person around. If so, get his name and stop in and talk to him. I have found MB techs to be quite friendly and willing to help.
