cl500 test drive. :-(

Oh what a disaster. I am looking for a new car (not brand new, just new to us) for my wife. A car I have always liked and my wife just learned about the car and likes it too.
So the search began for a 03-05 Mercedes CL500. We would like a white, silver or gray one. No black as it’s gonna be swirl king and do not have time to take up a part time job for cleaning a black car.

2003 Mercedes Benz CL500 White 40k miles.
Car looks very nice. As soon as she drove off the lot, I could tell the wheels were bent, alignment was off. The car was low on gas, so we went to get gas, while getting gas I noticed the alignment on the front door was off, meaning when you close the door the window doesn’t close properly and sticks out. Those who has a CL500 know what I am talking about. How the window goes up a bit, it was not going in inside rather outside of the designated area. Meaning it was still sorta open with ability to hear the outside noise.
Overall, the car was very disappointing.

What gets me is, this car was probably close to 100k. So someone buys this car for 100k and within 40k miles facked that shat up like it’s a girl who got ridden like a cho-cho train. I have had a lot of cars that I bought brand new and drove up to 60k miles and even at that point the car was pretty nice condition, maybe 9.5/10. This car over here was 5/10. it was so disappointing cuz we really liked the white on the cl500.

Anyway, now back to drawing board looking for CL500s with less than 40k miles and 03+.

The search continues.

Hey, sorry about that, look for a 2004+ because of the 7speed, it better on performance and gas millage, where in Md are you? if your close to va i would recommend you go to AMERICAN SERVICE CENTER. they have a great selection of cars with low miles, try to find one with low miles like below 15k, you will feel much better in he long run.

yes, i am on 6speedonline most of the time.

as for MD. i live in VA.
thanks for the advise. I will look for a 7 speed then.
04+ Sweetness. My wife really loves the look of the car.
i think it's timeless and especially with the pillarless and rear window going down.

Let me know if you want to meet up sometimes, i am in Northern VA and my wife's family lives in MD.
