Just a update in general.....

Hi all,

As you may\may not know - Ive had nothing but trouble with my CL500 since I got her 6 months ago and add to that my mum died afew weeks back its been real hectic. But my car went into MB last week and all I can say is WOW - now everything is working I've fallen in love with the car again!

A list of things and what fixed them:

Shaking at Idle : Cylinders 2-7 needed new Coil Packs & new HT leads, Cylinders 1 and 8 needed new HT leads. Total costs to me just under £1000! Yes very expensive and I pray this never happens to you

Whistling noise from heater fan : Baring had gone - replaced heater fan located under passenger airbag. Total cost to me NIL - Warrenty

Heated seats not functioning on both chairs : replaced ALL seat switches and 3 modules within the chairs apparently. Still only slightly heated. Finally replaced heat pads on back and ****. Total cost to me NIL - Warrenty

Sat Nav not following me along when driving making it useless. And CD couldnt be read correctly : They replaced SAT NAV unit - now reads CD's BUT still didnt follow teh cars movement. Turned out needed complete CAN BUS rewire. Dont know the ins and outs but after a full week with MB rewiring - all worked perfectly. Total Cost to me NIL - Warrenty

Phone system not displaying in inst cluster : Star Diag activation of phone unit. Then I bought ViseeO Blue tooth adapter and a Sony Ericsson K800i mobile - WOW fantastic, as soon as I get in the car I it recognizes the mobile and automatically shows the address book\contact list. Its amazing and I would highly recommend. FYI I can now get bulk stock of these as an amazing price of £299.99 + Postage. £100 cheaper than anywhere else in UK. Anyway total cost to me to get this setup £400 - not bad for a full Blue tooth, use any phone, setup.

Double Glazed Glass Split with a nasty milky substance between panes : OK - MB would not pick up the bill at all over this - and beleive me Im still trying - anyway, I stumbled across a CL500 in a breakers yard. The 2 front windows were smashed but the 2 rear windows were perfect - he wanted £40 for the 2!! I bought eagerly and all it took was 2 hours to replace them. MB WIS software shows exactly how to do it - remove rear seats, side panneling and the removal and install of the glass was so easy it could be done blind!! adjusting them to get a tight door to rear window closure was even easier - I was amazed how easy it all was actually. So now I have 2 perfect rear windows and 2 rubbish front - im still working on this and once I find a letter I received and checked the wording its tiem to take legal action against MB. Anyway, total cost to me £40 and my 2 hours time.

I took the car out last night to a gig and my god I LOVE this car - funny how when everything is working it totally changes your whole outlook on things hey

I have now got a multimedia adapter to fit to Comand which will allow me to play MP3\DVD video etc - prob a 2 hour or so job.

And I have a genuine set of MB illuminated door sills AMG lettring to fit. I;m guessing a 3 hour fit. But I have to check that the illiuminated strips are actually working as I cant seem to get any light from them

Just wanted to share with you all that now all is working im just loving this car. Wonder how long that will last though?!?!?
