Hiya, I had an 18 yr old clip my CL drivers side mirror and damaged the whole unit when overtaking a skip heading towards me. His father decided to go down the route of paying me cash instead of high premiums for his son's insurance, unless his son was a named driver on his parents insurance.
I got a quote from MB to have it all done and labor costs here in the UK. I was quoted originally £832 n change and haggled them down to £712.86 (equates to $1,361.56 @ $1.91 to the £) to also include the rubber seal that is above the mirror where the speaker is, as they'll have to take that seal off to install a new mirror.
The driver's side mirror has the Electrochomatic (Auto Dim) feature as well as the rest incl. memory settings.
The only downside is that the mirror housing has to come with the blinker which is the old style unit, as I wanted the newer style unit and would've wanted to replace the blinker on the passneger side. But hey ho, I'm not going to pay for another housing unit for the passenger side which would cost $220 odd for the passenger housing. Mt CL is the Green Black Metallic which isn't that popular here in the UK and I guess in the US, as most are either Black or Silver, and would find it hard to find a cheaper unit on the market or ebay.

Side window molding
I had to replace the molding around the mirror. Dealership recommended the entire molding for the roof where it meets the both side windows as well. I only did the mirror part about $150 for the part and not much for labor because of other door component issues. It was necesary as the molding around the mirror had splits and was letting water in. The longer molding piece was going to be about $1200 Hardest part is getting the door interior panel off. The repair cd has a video on that.
