Multi contour seats
Multi contour seats
Hello,
just bought a 2002 CL 500 with multi contour seats, driver and passenger.
The problem is, it seems I can't adjust them. When I push the different buttons, I hear a "click" in the seat, but no engine running. Same for both seats. In my previous car (06 R class), the seats really shifted shape when using this function. Any tips, since no seat or function works, I guess I do something wrong, or maybe a fuse is gone...? Tips?

Check for power to the motors in the seats if there isn't a problem with fuses. If you have a click in the seats, there should at least be no problems with the controls in the doors.
If there is no signal getting from the doors to the seats, then check the wiring from the doors.
The wires can get kinked and then break between the door and body resulting in nothing working. I had this problem with the speakers in the drivers door of mine. Three of the four were cleanly cut and one was on its way out. There are even replacement harnesses available for the doors as this is a major problem. If all positions don't work, check for the main power to that unit on each door.
good luck!
