AIR MAS SENOR
has anyone ever clean the air mas senor?
what do you clean it with?
do you have to disconnect the battery?
i just change my fuel filter (dirty)and my crankshaft postion senor (went bad)as will. all done
Since im doing all this i want to get this done as will the car has 79k try to save the senor.
i know that is it goes bad dealer sell the whole unit for $347. whole sale
auto zone sell it for $243. and get 40buck core charge.
i know that ebay sell just the senor for $89.00 total out the door.

You can clean it with lighter fuel ( refined petrol) or with one of the Iso sprays. Cleaning it will not stop it from failing at some point in time
If you have Bosch dealers and Bosch service centers they are half the MB cost

CRC makes MAF cleaner. You can find it at your local auto parts store. I did use it, but in my case the sensor was bad so I can't really comment on the effectiveness. I'm sure it would be good practice to clean the sensor at each filter change.
If that's your original sensor, you might need to replace it soon anyway. I would also suggest you get an OEM sensor and not an eBay aftermarket. You might be safe with a Bosch replacement as they're the manufacturers of the OEM sensor, but I'm not too sure about the tolerances and specs between the two, if any. Just go the safe route and stick with OEM.
