AMG Bumpers
Okay, we finally got the bi-xenon headlights installed on my friends CL!
Now he wanted to know if he can get the front bumper updated.
His is a 2002 CL with the AMG bumper.
Will a 2003+ AMG bumper fit on his '02?
What parts are needed besides the bumper, mesh grilles and fog lights?
Anything else? Is it a direct swap? Bolts same size etc... Any adjustment needed?
Will the newer parts fit on a 2002? Or are there any other parts needed?
Also, for the rear, he has the 2002 AMG bumper. However, is there any way he can fit the AMG bumper off of a CL55?
The little silver strip next to the dual exhaust. Is that part alone purchasable and able to be fitted on his current rear bumper, or would that whole bumper have to be bought and installed?

In addition to what you mentioned, your friend's going to need new front bumper strip, chrome pieces and plastic headlight washer covers for the 2003'+ AMG bumper.
I can't really answer for the rear bumper. But I am sure he's going to need new pieces for the 2003+ rear bumper as well.

For the headlight washer covers will they be in the same place as the old ones? Or will they have to be re-wired or something?

They'll be in the same place.
The 03+ washer covers are shaped differently than the standard bumper's headlight washer covers. Given Mercedes' love to have different parts for no reason, I can only guess that the same applies to the 02 AMG bumper.
