Cl600 Purchase - Need Help
I am looking at purchasing a 2001 CL600, 14K mi, full Lorinser (DTM) body kit, with 20" chrome rims. Car is privately owned and in excellent condition. All books/records available.
What's the right money for the car in today's market/what should I offer?

Okay - I doubt if I can get a car like this with Brabus Monoblock V multipiece chrome 20" rims/Pirelli tires, a full F1 Lorinser body kit, wings, and exhaust for $75K.
But let's say I get a STOCK CL600 for $75K with similar mileage/color which IS possible if I look hard enough.
By the time I add the same rims/tires (at least $7000 whlsle) and the same Lorinser body kit, etc. (at least $10000 whlse) and paint/labor to install all this (at least $2000), I will have spent $94,000.00 on the car, NOT TO MENTION that I'd have to endure a downtime wait of at the very least 2 weeks for the installation PLUS the risk that the body shop doesn't do it right (and believe me, they always either get backed up or screw it up; it's always a hassle).
So, if I buy the the car for $92K with all those bells and whistles already done and, on top of it all, pay NO sales tax since I reside in a no-sales tax state, don't you think that's a pretty good deal?
