2003 TAILIGHT CONVERSION, etc.
Am I correct to assume that the tailight lenses for 02 and prior CLs can be replaced with the new 03 lenses?
Are there any other light assembly updates on the 03s?

Yes, they can be replaced. A friend of mine replaced his S Class rear and head lights, to the 03. Also the side view mirrors need to be changed and the stock rims. The only way someone can tell it's not 03 is by the head rests and Nav Screen.
As for the other Assembly's. The Whole rear lights must be changed as they are different. (ie. Covers, Bulb Placement etc.) In Kuwait it cost about $1250 for rear and head lights and Side Mirrors. Installation would be around 100 or less here.

Another price poiny -- I had the left rear taillight assembly replaced on my 02 CL late last year because it got damaged in a parking garage. The cost installed was only about $250 at the dealer. This was an 02 assembly.
