I've had mine for 2 years, went from 42k to 56k on the odometer. Besides brakes & tires, I've had to replace the head unit because a CD got stuck - $5900 (factory warranty); had trouble with the sensor under the passenger seat - don't know what thAT cost, but it was 3 trips to the dealer before they sorted it out [didn't want to replace the $1800 seat!] (factory warranty); the motor on the driver's side mirror went out - $440 at indie (extended warranty); CD changer - $300 at indie (out of pocket); a fuel management sensor/computer - $1000 at indie (extended warranty). More than I would've thought beforehand, but then you dont know what you're getting when you buy a vehicle off lease from an independent dealer. Thought the gods for extended warranties!

My warranty just expired...
Problems? Doors not sucking in, Shifter clip or whatever replaced (stuck in park)...
Right now I have a bad MAF CEL...due to filters. Easy fix. Dealer wanted 800+ for it I laughed.
Going to have gaskets, spark plugs some others done soon but thats normal.

(I had a 94 Acura Legend 6 spd coupe for 12 years and the door motors never failed. The present owner has had to do zero to it except normal maintenance....)

2002 CL with 66K, in the dealer rightnow for for ABC problems. Still driving the loaner. Just flushed the ABC system and changed the ABC pressure release value, flex disc change, transmission service, fuel filter changed, oil leak from the engine. So far the cost is $7,800. If the ABC pressure value won't fix the ABC, will need to change the ABC pump and shocks, worse case is just another $5,000. Other than that no other problems.

MBUSA should give a service mileage recommendation for ABC service, just like they do for oil changes.
I shall enquire further...

I complined about the ABC service to the dealer, they said MB didn't recommend the ABC because when you flush out the ABC system if not done carefully you can contaminate the ABC Pump, shocks, and the ABC pressure relase value. This will cost in excess of $5000 to replace just basic parts. The ABC is a amazing system, the repairs are just part of the cost of having a 100K car.

No, a $100,000+ car should be built better and not have these quality/mechaical issues. You should demand better quality and greater reliability for your money. There is no reason they can't build a more reliable system. It really would't take much.
An electronic clutch on the ABC pump would take care of the pump failures. The pumps fail because they are run with no lubrication after a hose fails. If you have any experience with hydraulics, we all know that hydraulic hoses will fail over time. It's how the system is designed that determines if the rest of the system suffers from a domino effect. This system seems to have some serious flaws.

Maybe all the CL and S owners should get together and make a compliant. The dealer's excuse was when the ABC was released they didn't see all of those problem 6-7 years later.

Knowledge is power and it would be best to know your car well.
To armasace, check your ABC fluid level and monitor it regularly, like it oil in your engine.
Ask the dealer tech to show you where and how to check it and DON"T let them BS you into buying shocks.
BUY the $100 MB STAR SERVICE Service Manual Library DVD at the dealer and they WILL know that you mean business and will be better informed about your vehicle and able to go to any garage and have work done by them or yourself.

They said they rarely see problems with the ABC cars and that if the filter were changed and the fluid level maintained they system was good.
Sh*t, if the dealer had some guy who can't pour some liquid into a clean funnel..... then came to me with the crap they told you.....
