what to look out for!!!

HEY GUYS
im from the s class forum....
im thinking of trading in for a cl?
what years should i avoid?
what year should i get? 03-06 should i stay away from 01-03

anything i should look out for at the stealership...

i have a s600.. so i know the abc system...
what are the problem years?

I don't think there are any "problem years" per se, just get the newest one you can. The '03-'06 is where you should be looking, if you can bump up to the CL55 or CL600, because, like the S-class, after '03 the power went way up
Also, for '04 and up the navigation and display got a nice little improvement on all models. Tail-lights changed over too, I think in '03 but many people are buying the newer lights and simply installing them in older models. Other than that, there are only a few changes.

If you are not thinking of the CL55 or CL600, you could probably get a sweet deal on an early year CL500 - 15K or so. Then you could use the money saved to fix any suspension probs that crop up, new tire pressure sensors (the batteries will die or be dead in older cars), brakes, and other typical repairs that crop in any older high mileages car.
