a/c compressor???seriously??
so yesterday i was on my way back home ,drove completely fine then as i got close to my house,i turned on the ac ..i pulled up to my drive way and called my girlfriend to come out ..when she did she said smoke was coming out of my car...i never had a problem with this car and it has 80k miles.so i checked under the hood and its a rubber burning smell,i felt much better as i knew its the serpentine ( poly-v ) belt and nothing with the engine it self,it was a little worn out and i could tell one of the pulleys wasn t spinning freely,i got back to the car,shut it off and turned on the A/C,it wasn t blowing cold,then i knew it was the compressor that was locked,tried to start the car again and it was cranking very slowly but not starting,so i just let it be...this morning,i started it and it s fine ,the compressor isn t locked anymore but it isn t working,i got it towed to my mechanic,the cap of that compressor broke off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i was like what??i checked it and it says " denso" made in japan..haha..anyway,i called the dealer,they wanted 900 dollars and said it would take 4 days to get here from germany ..lol,may be japan ...i ordered it from autozone for 300 bucks and will put it on tomorrow!!i also ordered a new poly belt for 25 bucks from autozone,its a gatorbeck brand as opposed to 70 from the dealer..wish me good luck guys,i will let you know what happens when i put it on
one question,where is the fuse box in this car???any help would be very much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

ok,now i found out there is a 6PK2310 belt that could bypass the compressor pulley!!!!i never use the a/c so that could help out!!you think it s good route to take?also if i do get it,is there a specific brand i shoud get?i found tons of dayco ,mitsuboschi,and bosch brands!!! heelllpp!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

installed the belt,bypassed the compressor!!it worked!!i ll put the compressor when it gets here,im fine for now!!! anybody with knowledge on where to find the fuse box?????

The 6PK2310 belt can be used on any non kompressor M112, M113, M272 and M273 to bypass the A/C compressor,if you go to wikipedia and look up the engines i just mentionned,it will give you all the models that use them!!!
and yes,the belt will work on your car!!
