Nice, although it needs a starless grille.

Did you smoke the rear lenses? How?

Was it easy to remove the CL600 badge?

Yes, these are two things I mean to do to mine.

Thanks man, to be honest I'm not too sure on the specs on the wheels. They were purchased used from a member on here. I believe they are 8.5/9.5; offset is unknown...I called CCW to get it and they really couldn't help me unless I knew who bought them originally. All I know is they were originally on a CLK.

Those rear tires are actually Nitto NT05's...I don't know how well they are going to work, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. I will be getting a set of MT Street Radial 2's for the factory 18" wheels. Fronts are Nitto Invos...although I think they are too wide. I don't really like the bulge on the front, but I think I'm being overly critical.

I will agree with you on the Starless grille!

The badge was easy enough, I just used fishing line to remove them and then Goo Gone sticker remover with the included plastic scraper to get the foamy tape off. It was easy, just took some time. After that, I used a high quality polish wax to remove the edges of the tape that was so stubborn.

As for the tails, side markers, and turn signals in the mirrors...yes, I did them myself. It's cheap and easy...here's a write up. https://mbworld.org/forums/detailing...t-tinting.html

Thanks for the howto ZR. We don't have those pesky sidelights in Europe so two less lights to worry about. I hadn't thought of the third brake light though.

Seeing yours in black has got me stepping up my hunt for an Obsidian Black CL55. The whole effect is so much better with that than my Almandine black CL500.

If you're talking about the front tires...I agree. I think they are a little too wide for the wheel. Some of the look in the pics is lighting, it's not as pronounced as it looks....but I still don't think I'm happy with it.

Good luck in your search! I know my tails, etc aren't everyone's taste...but I really like the look. FYI, the tails are very easy to remove for painting...but DO NOT try to remove the 3rd brake light...ask me how I know! haha. Also, it's either 3/4" or 1" masking tape (I don't remember right now) that fits PERFECTLY on the clear part of the tails, in case you want them lighter like mine.

All around, they have too much profile imo. But I don't care about my contact patch
