Angry 645ci can fit 22 inch wheels easily...why not CL?

Hello,

I have a buddy that put 22 inch rims on his 2006 BMW 650ci. From what I was told by my MB mechanic, and different sources is that 22" rims cannot fit on a CL500 (they can barely fit 20's). And if you do manage to put them on the vehicle their is a severe price to pay ie; bad ride, damage to vehicle, etc. So I would like to know your opinions on this matter. The CL seems to be a bigger vehicle then the 645 so im just confused about the situation (i'm new to this whole car thing!) SO let me know if 22's on the CL is possible!

thanks guys

Every car is different, it's as simple as that. The CL fits 20s just fine, and people have put 22s. You are going to sacrifice ride quality anytime you run low profile tires.

MB's have smaller wheel wells than BMW's.

its not about the wheel diameter, its the tire diameter...the new skinny 22 tires will ensure you can fit a 22...

but the ride will indeed be crap.
