door window separation

Has anyone had to deal with the two pieces of glass on the driver's or passengers door separating? When I had my windows tinted there was a discoloration at the top of the driver's side window and was told the glue was separating.
It's not bad yet perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 inch. It was already there before the window tint. Is this fixable or will I have to get new glass?

new glass will be needed when you think its bad enough or when you just get tired of seeing the separation..

This is a known fault. I believe it only happens with the Oilkington double glazing, not the St Gobain glass. I have heard of Mercedes-Benz in the US repairing this under warranty or goodwill. Sadly they won't do the same here in the UK.

Yes I have Pilkington Glass. I bought an extended warranty but haven't really had the time to take the car in, the dealer is approx 30 miles away. I'll try and see what they say. THANK YOU for the information. :-)
