cl500 power loss after downshift
Hello All!
My wife's 2002 cl500 will lose power drastically if she manually downshifts. She says she will have to floor it and even then it barely accelerates and feels very underpowered. If she pulls over and stops/restarts the car it will reset and be fine until the next time she d/s; needless to say she hasn't been doing that a lot lately!
Anyway, it will be going to the dealer to look at but I like to know whats wrong before they do; it speeds up the process, I find.
I have read all around the site and have only been able to find about i/c pumps and as far as I know that's only on s/c models.
Thanks for any ideas; I'm going to try the tranny/ecu reset when she gets home but frankly I'm a Harley guy and am kind of intimidated by her car. Tim
