MAP sensor
My CL500 (W215) is suffering from the following;
Uneven idle, lack of performance, poor fuel consumption, drop in revs at 4K RPM.
The MIL is off and there are no fault codes.
A diagnostic trace shows no output from the MAP sensor.
Where is this fitted? I've had a look on the inlet manifold and cant easilly see one. Is this function carried out by the MAF??

the Mass Air Flow is behind the air filters.

Here is a picture of it.
It's about 20 mn to change it.
It costs 75 $ on eBay (for a Bosch).

I thought it didn't have a supercharger like say, the CL55?
Either way, here's a picture showing a pressure sensor on a 500. Don't know if it's what you're looking for, though.
Will check below the MAF.
Many thanks
A MAP sensor isn't just used on forced induction engines. It detects the drop in vacuum in the inlet manifold as you accelerate and allows the ECU to react quicker to enrichen the fuel etc.
