I also have an '02 and looked quite a bit for an extended warranty but found nothing of any value. This is despite my car having only 38k miles on the odometer. I did find a company or 2 that would cover the car except for the ABC system. Another company offered by a local MB dealer did cover the ABC but the cost was an unbelievable $11,000 for a couple years of coverage which is totally ridiculous. With your car having over 100k on it, I doubt if you find any company interested. Good luck.Originally Posted by db103

for future reference, i would like to humbly and politely suggest finding the warranty *before* buying a potential money pit like a used benz
I really doubt you will find a worthwhile company willing to provide a good value warranty for an 8-year-old, high mileage CL. ($11,000 to get ABC coverage is *not* a good value.)
If you do find such a warranty, please do post it here, there may be many interested members!

Did you get a service history from the dealer? If the ABC has been maintained properly it is reliable. If it has a proper rebuild before you bought it, or was trouble free.....you may have a good experience. Remember IF!

the dealer said all the recall parts were replaced the only thing they recommended changing the fluid and gettin the rear strut replaced which ive already had done
