can't seem to get the toll payment transponder to work when place anywhere on the inside of the car. I've tried two different transponders to make sure the unit wasn't the problem. Where is there a spot in the car with minimal signal interference?

Look in your manual. Right behind the rear view mirror in the blacked out area is what MB recommends.

I placed the transponder in the black dotted area next to the rearview mirror and it still doesn't work.

The only other area that I would recommend (Again see your manual) is the area in the lower center/right windshield where there is a cutout for radar detectors/etc.

Have you verified in another vehicle that your transponder even works ?

it also works if i hold the transponder out the window or through the opened sunroof.
