cl_500

I have a 2001 cl500 and at 1200 rpms for a brief second on acceleration the exhaust makes this clack noise kind of like if you put a penny in an exhaust (i doubt that is it though)


anyone know what it could be?

the sound comes from right before the muffler

Hi, this is the catalyst, some of the ceramic is broken off and so the noise makes you vibrate.

If you are in the USA, I think there is some type of recall for the catalytic converters.
