CPO or Not CPO - That is the question
I'm looking at '06 CL500's and came across a nice one with about 41K miles at a dealer (asking $37k). My question to the group: is it worth buying from a dealer just for the CPO?
Thanks for your help!

One major reason to do so is this is the only place you can purchase the MB extended warranty which is the best available.

Really good point, especially considering some of the issues that come up with this car. Do you know if they cover everything so long as the car is maintained on schedule (of course I could simply ask for a copy of the extended warranty and read it myself).
thanks again

As far as scheduled maintenance, I only had them do the schedule "B" service which used to be free but not so today I believe. There is very little maintenance required on these cars. For example, spark plug changes at 100k and oil changes at 15k (I would never let mine go that long). Shop around for your car as prices vary greatly. In particular, look on Ebay where the dealer may have this car at a lower price. That's is what happened to me. The dealer had an Ebay dept which had lower prices than the normal sales dept for the same car.
Good luck.
