2000 CL 500
Buying Advice
Hey all you CL owners --
I am thinking about buying a 2000 CL500 (34k miles). Looks clean; price is acceptable. The question is: Is this car all That? Do any of you have experience with the 2000 model, good or bad, that you can share? Is there any real reason to hold out for a 2001 or 2002? I know cars tend to improve from one year to the next, but are there any meaningful differences you think I should consider?

The asking price is $57K, but I suspect it can be had for a bit less than that. The major options NOT included are -- parktronic, rear shade and ventilated seats.
Does that sound reasonable, in your experience?

I have had 3 cl's so far and not a bit of trouble,That seem;s like a good price considering what that car cost new in 2000 low 90's depending on the options here is what i have now.

Great looking car! Nothing like a black car....when it is clean. 
My problem is I could never keep a black car clean for more than one day; especially in Boston winters. So I try to find appeal in the lighter color cars.

$57k is a great price. Private party value on a 2000 CL500 with 34k miles per the Kelly Blue Book is $69,000 out here on the West Coast. Is the car is excellent condition ?

To my eye it looks great. But I am having an independent inspection done just to see if I am missing something. I, too, thought the price seemed quite good. Maybe the market is slow for these....?

is the car still under warranty? just make sure a lot of the minor stuff is working... our CL has a lot of seat belt, cupholder... tiny problems like that, but good thing the car is still under warranty cuz it's all covered by mbz...
